Enrico Sandrini, General Manager at Lincotek Medical (former Nanosurfaces Industries) discusses becoming part of the medical division of Lincotek (former UnitedCoatings Group)

10 June 2019

This month marks the first anniversary that Lincotek Medical (former NanoSurfaces Industries) joined the medical division of Lincotek (former UnitedCoatings Group). The move expanded the capabilities of the Group to be the single point of service for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) no matter what part of the world in which they are based.

Joining Lincotek (former UnitedCoatings Group) consolidated our place as a global player in the OEM market. As part of the Group, we offer all of our services together as a complete solution, a ‘one-stop shop’ for the production of medical implants and instruments.

Every customer is different and we have the flexibility to support our OEM customers as they need. If the customer wants us to design, support them through regulatory approval and mass produce their devices or instruments, we can do all of those key steps as part of our one-stop shop operations.

If the customer already has an approved design, then we can support their entire manufacturing process. We will take care of all parts of the supply chain; we are able to manage everything from sourcing the raw materials right through the packaging to sterilisation. The advantage of our in-house portfolio of technologies is to speed up launching process, reducing time to market.

This offer perfectly fits with the well-known, bespoke and proprietary coatings and 3d printing technologies of the Group. Therefore, we can today offer our customers the opportunity to streamline their businesses – both in terms of supply chain optimisation and use of economic resources. With our complete one-stop approach, we bring all elements together in one place.
We look forward to discussing our capabilities with existing and new customers at OMTEC this week in Chicago. If you are attending the meeting, do please come and visit our booth #216.

The last 12 months have been a period of integration into the Group. Following the model set by Lincotek Medical (former Eurocoating) in excellence in technology and operations, aligning our internal processes and ensuring that high standards required by both our OEM customers and regulatory bodies, are consistently met, if not exceeded.

The next 12 months and beyond will continue to build on the collective experience of the Group – with more than 200 collective years of design experience and product development, the team at Lincotek Medical (former Nanosurfaces) alone has already helped customers obtaining more than 100 CE marking approvals on their devices, that have launched throughout five continents.
